Jenny Welch
Deputy Director – Operations
Jenny Welch serves as the Deputy Director – Operations for Housing California where she manages the organization’s financial and human resource functions, coordinates fund development efforts, and provides overall organizational strategic planning and support, in close partnership with the Executive Director. With staff, she oversees day-to-day internal activities and procedures ensuring effective administration of its resources as well as playing an instrumental role in other special initiatives and events.
Before joining Housing California, Jenny served as a Project Manager at the Local Government Commission where she supported local policymakers and stakeholders in their efforts to build more livable communities in California. Through this experience, she gained extensive experience in facilitating meetings and collaborative groups with diverse stakeholders; organizing and conducting events; and managing and implementing complex projects. She also interned at the U.S. EPA’s Office of Sustainable Communities and the State of California’s Strategic Growth Council.
Jenny obtained a B.A. in Political Science and Urban Studies and Planning from the University of California, San Diego.
