Request Support from Senators for National Affordable Housing Trust Fund

The National Housing Trust Fund Campaign, with more than 5,600 endorsers across the country, hails the introduction of legislation in the U.S. Senate to establish a National Affordable Housing Trust Fund. Senator John Kerry introduced S. 2523 with six co-sponsors.

The bill will establish a dedicated funding source for the production, preservation and rehabilitation of 1.5 million affordable homes over 10 years. As least 75 percent of the funds will go toward homes that meet the needs of extremely low-income people.
