SB 2 Passes First Policy Committee
Senate Transportation and Housing Committee passed SB 2 (Cedillo) on a 7-0 vote on March 27. It will be heard next in the Senate Appropriations Committee on April 16.
Housing California supports SB 2, which would require housing elements to identify sites for special needs facilities, such as emergency shelters and residential mental health and drug rehabilitation services.
SB 2 is the reincarnation of last session's SB 1322 (Cedillo), which the legislature passed but the governor vetoed.
