Assemblymember Sally Lieber reports that the senate and assembly are discussing forming a Joint Committee on Homelessness.
Sources in the governor’s office say his statewide 10-Year Plan to End Chronic Homelessness will be released for public comment within the next week. We will post it on the Housing California website as soon as it's available.
Assemblymembers Anna Caballero and Lori Saldaña, the League of CA Cities, and the American Planning Association have agreed to make their AB 1449 and AB 1256 two-year bills. Housing California has serious concerns about both measures affecting density bonus law and requested the "time-out." The author, sponsors, and concerned parties will form a working group to review the law, its impacts, and potential changes.
