Mullin Agrees to Sponsor HCA's PROMISE Budget Request
Support Letters Still NeededThe PROMISE program is a budget request sponsored by the Homes to End Homelessness Coalition that would increase the supply of supportive homes for mentally ill parolees.
Assemblymember Gene Mullin (D-South San Francisco) agreed last week to sponsor the request in the Assembly. Senator Alan Lowenthal (D-Long Beach) is the Senate sponsor.
The PROMISE request is scheduled to be heard on April 11, 2007 in the Assembly and April 26 in the Senate. We need YOU to send letters of support to members of budget subcommittees in both houses.
Deadline: Support letters will have the most impact if received by Friday, April 6, 2007. Please download mailing instructions and a sample letter here.
