Legislature Restores AB 2034 Funding
The Budget Conference Committee voted to restore funding to AB 2034 in the budget bill, by a vote of 2-1 (Senate) and 2-1 (Assembly), with Republicans in both Houses voting against it.
This means that funding for AB 2034 will be included in the budget package that the full legislature will vote on within the next week or two. The fight is certainly not over yet, but we have passed a major hurdle. Please continue to work with your legislators to ensure they vote for the budget bill. Also send a letter to the Governor to sign the budget and not blue pencil the $55 million. (Not sure what to say? Download a sample letter.)
