Housing California Supports Six Foreclosure Bills

Housing California is supporting six foreclosure-related bills designed to assist current borrowers and prevent future lending debacles of this magnitude. The CA Reinvestment Coalition and CA Center for Responsible Lending are leading the coalition pushing the passage of these measures:

  • SB 1137 (Perata, D-Oakland): Foreclosure Process Reform
  • AB 69 (Lieu, D-Torrance): Servicer Data Collection
  • AB 1830 (Lieu, D-Torrance): Subprime Lending Reform Act
  • AB 2880 (Wolk, D-Davis): Regulating Mortgage Brokers
  • AB 2359 (Jones, D-Sacramento): Assignee Liability
  • AB 512 (Lieber, D-Mountain View): Translation for Mortgage Lenders
  • AB 2740 (Brownley, D-Santa Monica): Regulating Mortgage Servicers
