HCD Releases Homeless Youth Guidelines
The Department of Housing and Community Development released the final guidelines for the Homeless Youth Housing Program on February 1, 2007. Prop. 1C allocated $50 million for this program.
The guidelines allow the money to be used for transitional housing only. Housing California remains concerned that they do not allow for the development of permanent housing for homeless youth and has sent a letter to Director Lynn Jacobs reflecting this concern.
