Budget Hits Summer Doldrums: But Watch for Action Alerts!

July 22, 2008

The Republicans and Democrats are still worlds apart on a budget deal. It is not clear whether the legislature will adopt a "get-out-of-town" budget that patches over the $15 billion dollar deficit with cuts and gimmicks or not. There is concern that some of the proposals for closing the deficit include raiding Redevelopment Agency funds (we will keep you posted!).

Please watch for Action Alerts in the coming weeks and respond ASAP if there is a call to action. When the budget does start to come together it is likely to happen quickly.
