Through its Commercial Real Estate Community Lending Loan Programs, U.S. Bank assists communities in the construction, rehabilitation, and acquisition of housing for low-income individuals and families. Our programs are available to stable developers with experience in affordable housing development. Emphasis is on nonprofit developers such as nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and municipalities. Projects should serve residents at 80% or less of the area median income.
- Wide range of use - Our Community Lending Loan Programs can be used for multi-family, senior rental, SROs, tax-credit developments, tax-exempt bond financing (direct purchase and L/C enhanced), projects assisted by tax increment, special-needs housing, single-family-for-sale, and attached for-sale housing.
- One stop financing - Permanent loans may be combined with construction loans to simplify the financing process.
- Other financing options - As a member of the Federal Home Loan Bank, we can offer sponsorship for AHP funds. As a full service bank, we can offer tenants depository services and account management and we have a competitive home mortgage/down payment assistance program for low-income home buyers.
