About Us
CHIP
CHIP was created in 1973 by a partnership between the City of Chico and Chico State University. Since then, CHIP has helped 1,500 low-income families build their own home, created more than 500 rental units and assisted hundreds of families and individuals with the Community Housing & Credit Counseling Center. CHIP serves Butte, Glenn, Tehama, Shasta, Siskiyou, Lassen and Yuba Counties.
